Senator boats was established by Wayne McKinley, an avid fisherman who built his first boat for a friend almost three decades ago.

Wayne now employs a team of 13 boat builders in his Napier factory and has a network of nine dealers selling Senators throughout New Zealand.

The ongoing evolution in design and the ability of Senator to listen to the needs of the boating community has proven to be a success.

Senator prides itself on providing boats with many features incorporated in the ‘standard’ boat, such as hand rails, bollards, cleats, boarding ladders.

In response to customer demand Senator’s new Typhoon series of alloy plate boats was launched to complement the company’s well respected and proven pontoon and offshore series.

The Senator team loves building boats – and they know they create great boats customised to specific customer needs – so the Senator Typhoon series adds another option for boaties who love the quality and reliability of Senator.
